In partnership with the AmeriCorps Community Technology Empowerment Project (CTEP), Eco Education has developed three technology extensions which complement City Connections and Urban Stewards.

The technology extensions provide opportunities for students to actively engage in community problem solving while learning to use cutting edge technology. Students in these programs capture community life and develop a more complete assessment of the community using the technology.


Goals:

• Students learn to use digital media technology, GIS mapping, and online forum correspondence, with opportunities to continue use outside of class
• Students interact with community members and spaces, learning from multiple perspectives
• Students create projects to share with the community
